People Really Don’t Learn Anything

2/3 of people with leaked accounts at both Sony and Gawker reused their passwords on both sites.

I think this really just… exemplifies where security is right now. You can not ever expect your users to make the right decision. Look at that. After a site was hacked people reused the same password on the same exact site.

What I’m really surprised at is that Sony/Gawker allowed this. Or I guess that’s what I should be surprised about but it’s hard to be shocked about anything anymore.

Bottom line – take care of your users because they’re not going to take care of themselves.
